My Samsung Intensity 1 doesn't want to receive music from my laptop. Does the music need to be bought through the mobile browser in order to show up on the phone? I'm gonna try to sync the phone with my PS3 music now. I can't sync music from my laptop, kinda frustrating though. I have a 16GB MicroSD card too, ugh!

After you transfer the music to your phone try turning the phone off and then back on then check for your music. All the Samsung phones I've had you need to power the phone off and on for it to see the music on the device after first putting it onto the phone.

Instead of rebooting, you can get an App to "Refresh" the media.
There's a bunch available but I have had best results using "SwitchPro Widget" from the Google Play Store-->

John: his phone doesn't run Android :P I doubt he'll be able to use Refresh apps, hehe

Have you tried transferring the music files directly to the card without using the phone (via micro-to-standard SD adapter) and then inserting the card into the phone?

Try downloading Samsung Kies to your laptop, or if you already have it, update it to the latest version and try transferring music that way.
