I noticed this topic has been discussed before and I am having the same problem but with a bit of a twist. I am,correction, was getting the whole 10#@msg.koodoomobile problem receiving the mms when I needed sms. We tried changing it to go to #@msg.telus address which did not show anything up! Now we tried going back to the koodoomobile one and I still get nothing. Not even the download screen (which never downloaded anyway wifi or onboard 4g).

I need this to work as a part of my job. Any info would be appreciated.

thank you

did you include the .com at the very end?

So it should be 10digitphonenumber@msg.telus.com

"telus.net" not "telus.com"

I tested it on mine. Telus.com works :)

Agree Dennis, it went through also with "telus.com"

Yes on both telus and koodoomobile.

Then my best guess is that data needs to be enabled to receive MMS on that phone. Do the settings have MMS enabled?

Are the APN settings correct?

First Joshua you don't need to use the 10 digit number based msg or mmsg email number, if you have unlimited SMS/MMS, you can send/receive MMS by attaching your pictures to text messaging, just enable 3G Data on the handset it will be all free for you, Second, if you want to use xxx.xxx.xxxx@msg.telus.net, or xxx.xxx.xxxx@mmsg.telus.net if the xxx.xxx.xxxx@msg.koodomobile.com or xxx.xxx.xxxx@mmsg.koodomobile.com Data charges will be charged because it uses Data.

I'm not trying to receive a picture or attachment. Just an email based message hopefully coming as a text message. Preferably in a way that does not require my data to be on at all times. Beyond that the situation is now I receive absolutely nothing from either address.

Can you MMS (picture message) and SMS (text message) normally? Like does it send and receive messages normally? Like without a computer?

To be able to use an email based message you should need to enable Data on the handset, it converts that message in an mms and you will be charged for data usage, that's the only way you can do it because it will use 3G Data, if data is not enabled your based message/email won't go through.

Is your problem sending or receiving?

I would advise sending with a computer to your phone to test it

I can text out and receive. Normal and I did email my phone via telus address worked fine. The koodoomobile one acted as normal which means it technique.ly worked as well.
