Not impressed with Koodo's new tab structure. Wind Mobile seems to be pretty good.... anybody have any experience with them?

I am so devastated that Koodo has changed their tab structure and plans. I did some research, and they are now just as expensive as the "Big 3".. except with those carriers you have the option to share data between phones on the same account. Wind Mobile seems to be decently priced but I am concerned about their quality. Anybody have any info on these guys?

Would you go to a Mercedes forum and ask them advice on Volkswagen? :D I suggest you ask about Wind in a Wind community, if there is such a thing, haha.

Speaking in general I think it is obvious that Wind is cheaper, but you have to be lucky enough to live in a covered area.

Sadly, Koodo has lost its innovative touch and you are quite right, what they offer now is exactly the same as all the other nationwide carriers. Let's hope things will improve!

I'm researching other options right now, because if nothing changes I will be switching. Was just wondering if there might be people on here that switched from Wind and could give me some advice.

I am hopeful that Koodo will change for the better over the next year.. until then I am going to keep my current plans and keep collecting my 15% contribution to my tab balance.

I have 3 lines on my account and would probably benefit more from Rogers or Bell where we could share our data usage.

If you need data sharing, I would definitely consider the Big Three - again any of them basically offer the same in terms of pricing and features just like the flanker brands do. The only way they can still keep people from carrier hopping is by allowing people to keep their grandfathered plans... and Koodo is probably shooting themselves in the foot there too by taking away the old Tab perks on old plans as soon as the Tab is paid off. The future is interesting indeed :)

My experience with wind was using their unlimited usa roaming which was nice until they cut me for making too many short calls. If you live in one of their zones, then Yay choice. If not or if you like to travel in Canada, you'll not be happy outside of big cities and certainly not happy outside of Ontario
