Not getting all incoming texts on a Galaxy 5s

For about 5 months I am not receiving about %20 of my incoming texts on my Galaxy Samsung 5s. I have called Koodo twice, they have tested it, restarted and boosted the network for me with no results. I have turned it off and on. Took out the sim. Nothing. Everything else on the phone works fine.

Have you tried the sim in another phone to see if the problem follows? Did they ask you to get a new sim card?

As you already contacted Koodo, and the agent has tried on their side, it could well be the case with your phone/SIM. You could follow Goran and Allan advice above.

This is a fairly new sim card and it was happening on the last sim card. as far as trying it on a different phone I don't have access to another phone for an extended period of time where I could try that

If the sim card is fine and nothing is wrong on Koodo's end then it is likely the phones fault.

Have you tried a different messaging app?
I recommend Textra.

Also are you reliably able to test that texts are not being received? Like if a friend with you sends 5 texts, 1 doesn't get through?

Is it happening with friends using specific carriers?

Based on your replies, it sounds like the issue lies with your phone.
