While on a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean, there may not be any connection since... you know, there are no cell towers in the middle of the ocean.

But once on land in Alaska you can check out the roaming packages Koodo has to offer: http://help.koodomobile.com/coverage-...

An alternative if you absolutely can't give up making your thumbs fly across the screen:

Uh, Dennis.... You can get service on a cruise.

It's called satellite connection. $7/min, $15/MB, $0.60/text.
I don't recommend it as its super expensive but to say you can't get a connection or service is completely untrue and misleading.

Click on "travelling outside these locations" and you'll see it.

Cheers!

If you can limit yourself to ports in the orange area, the US roaming package is your best bet. You can sign up for ship-board packages or do the satellite thing above, but fortunately you have to be pro-active to activate such a potentially expensive deal.

Map is from AT&T, a common US roaming partner for Koodo.

Thanks, all. I have some leads to go on.
