I was interested in getting a Nokia 7 +, details here: https://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_7_plus-9058.php off of eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Nokia-7-Plus-Smartphone-Android-8-0-Snapdragon-660-Octa-Core-WIFI-GPS-Touch...

Anyway, was wondering if it'll work on the Telus/Koodo network?

According to the bands provided on eBay and gsmarena 3G will work no problem and you'll get lte wherever Koodo has LTE-A coverage.

For future reference you can use willmyphonework.net to see if just about any phone will work with just about any carrier in the world.

yeah, willmyphonework doesn't have the 7+ listed.

I live in downtown Toronto, so I should get LTE no problem, and just 3G everywhere else in the country?

@avp: the Global model seems to be the one in your post. However, that one doesn't have LTE B4 (the major LTE band for Telus/Koodo). You might have some LTE access through LTE B7&5 but will be limited.

There's two major bands and 7 is the other. It's not a matter of might or some but will and most population centres.

OP will have LTE coverage not just in the entire GTA but most of Southern Ontario. Outside of Saskatchewan and Winnipeg, OP would be covered in over half to two thirds of standard LTE coverage as shown here:

I don't think band 7 is on the "official" list. Koodo didn't have an official page but Telus does. Band 7 LTE (2600Mhz) wasn't there. LTE Band 4 (AWS), 2 and 5, however, do appear.

I don't know why it's not in there. Telus bought the lion's share of band 7 when it's went up for auction, covering 90% of the population, and there's been quite a few people using phones that would only work with 2500/2600mhz, including myself, and getting lte. Cellular tower maps show significant numbers of towers equipped for band 7 all over the GTA for instance.
