Are you on pre-paid or monthly? Pre-paid doesn't work outside of Canada.

I'm on Monthly, with the US 30BUNDLE roaming package added.

Put your phone on airplane mode see if it refreshes network connection. If not than, it's simple the local phone company you are roaming on at that moment has crappy coverage.

Thanks RudyW, tried this no help. Also turned the phone fully off and then back on, still no service. I'm in a big metropolitan area, quite certain there should be coverage here.

I'm sure there is, just not with the company you are roaming with, right then and there. Or is the problem more wide spread? That said your phone should fully work in wi-fi without access to the network. You can use app to make calls, text and everything else.

The thing is, there is no guarantee of service once you leave Canada whether you have a feature for it or not. What you could try, is to call Koodo from a landline and attempt to troubleshoot the issue. I have had customers with similar problems and we were able to figure it out.

Checked carriers, the phone is seeing AT&T and T-Mobile. Anyone know who Koodo uses for roaming in the U.S.?

AT&T. Just manually force yourself onto the network

Thanks Ahmad! Problem solved, I think!

Koodo phones will actually roam on both AT&T and T-Mobile.
