Sorry you're experiencing this issue

First restart the device and see if that fixes it.

If not -

Navigate to:

Settings - wireless and networks - more - mobile networks
Make sure "use gsm only" or "use 2g only" aren't checked as koodo doesn't support this

Let me know

If those ARE checked, uncheck them. This is the reason you have no service.

Ohh Kay. Is network selection on automatic? If it is, switch it to manual and allow the phone to scan for koodo. If you see koodo, select it.

If the phone is already on manual switch it to automatic.

Is your phone rooted? Are you running a custom rom? If you don't know what that is the answer is probably no.

Nope! Didn't root, its the factory ROM, never changed it... Or had the time too!

Hmmm are you sure your bill is up to date? Are you on the spending limit program?

Are any of those ppl near you? Try your sim in their phone and see if they get a signal. Also make sure airplane mode is off on your device.

If that's the case the issue may be with your phone. Call tech support tomorrow and see about getting some help that way. If you've had it less than a year it may still be under warranty. If it's been over a year then wooohooo time for an upgrade.

You may have some available tab which could net you a phone with little to no cash out of pocket.

Thank you for the help but I got this phone because I though it would be a more "premium" product and I would have to buy another one (started with koodos p500, died 6 times in one year till they decided to give me back my tab)

Okay, but you may still have some tab room to help you purchase the next phone if you're out of warranty. Android has improved since the ice cream sandwich (or possibly gingerbread) your phone is running. Today's devices are faster and brighter and you may be happier with a new device. The Samsung Galaxy Discover is a great option as is the Galaxy S2x.

Give Koodo's tech support a call to try and troubleshoot beyond what we've done, maybe you could explain your situation and see what can be done to get you into a newer device. It's worth a shot.

Alternately you could always pick up a used device from Kijiji or eBay and use that instead.

Also you can check out Koodo's "Certified pre-owned" phone. If you call a nearby Koodo shop, they will tell you what they have in stock.

That's a great idea Mayumi, I forgot about the pre owned! My first Android cane from there. It was like new!

I know! It works great and comes with a one year warranty. My son and I are so happy with the product and price we paid (^_^)
