I have a Galaxy G6.  There is no Voicemail icon showing on the screen, and I can't find the app for one, or any listing for Voicemail under my Apps file.

Try resetting your network settings. This sometimes fixes the problem of the icon not showing up.

Under Network - Call - Voicemail, my options are:  Setup (voicemail phone #), Notification Sound, and Sound with vibration.  No icon.

I dont think you can create a voicemail icon on your homepage that will show you when you have a voicemail. You could create a voicemail contact and add it to your homescreen but it wont show you voicemail notifications. It will just let you quick dial your voicemail.

Oh, that's not a feature of most phones. You'll have to look for some sort of app on the play store that may do something along those lines. LG doesnt (as far as I know at least) have that feature though.

What happens when you enable notifications for the phone app?
Settings>Notifications>Phone

Thank you Mats and Allan.  Knowing that there is no such icon will at least stop me from worrying about how to get it!  Thanks for your help.

Also have the problem. Don't get missed calls notifications either. Have read somewhere else about these problems as well.

@joel: which phone are you using? normally a simple restart or reset the settings could resolve most of the problem of notification.

@Joel: It seems to be the issue from the phone notification, not the network. Was the phone from Koodo?. Did you see a missed call when you check the call app? How about other notification?

Also check your notification center Settings >> notification >> Check the notification settings of various app.
