Try setting it to WCDMA.

What happens when you try to put another koodo sim in your phone or your sim into another koodo phone?

Hey Rob,

Do a SIM card pull, wait around a minute, and insert the sim back in

I get reception around the gardeners centre area, nowhere else... Maybe the windstorm damaged some cell  towers in the area...

I would ask some friends and family close to your area and see if they had services when you didn’t. In Ontario, Koodo uses Bell towers. So it would affect Telus, Koodo, Public, PC Mobile, Bell, and Virgin customers. I would imagine people would post stuff on Facebook about it too. We had a severe windstorm in southern Alberta a few weeks ago and a lot of stuff got damaged including power lines. Luckily, there was no service interruptions.

Otherwise, it could be a SIM card and hardware issue.

Well it was my phone in the  end, I got a cheap 30 dollar windows phone for now, bit I have another question.
Would a Vkworld Mix Plus 4G Phablet work if it used these frequencies in the Kingston Ontario region?
Phone supported-
2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
3G: WCDMA 850/900/2100MHz
4G: FDD-LTE Band 1/3/7/8/20
upgraded version
2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
3G: WCDMA 850/900/2100MHz
(4G: FDD-LTE 800/900/1800/2100/2600MHz ) different numbers

Koodo uses:

3G HSPA+/WCDMA 850/1900
4G LTE Band 4 1700/2100 and the new Band 7 2600

It looks like it uses only one of the 3G band which means you may not always have a connection depending on where you are
