Hey Koodo Community,

I've just landed in Utah and despite having signed up for a 250Mo US addons I can't connect to any wireless network. Do you guys know if I need to change any settings I have Oneplus one running Android Cyanogenmod.

Many thanks in advance,
marc

A quick reboot might help

I'm going to not make your day but Utah has awful cell coverage outside of Provo and other major areas. Mostly it's Verizon which your phone isn't compatible with.

AT&T has some coverage as does T-Mobile mostly it's small regional carriers

The Roaming add ons just enable billing discounts, they don't make Roaming work or change your phone on any way.

Make sure your network selection is set to automatic. Other than that you're at the mercy of the carriers out there.

According to this map, anywhere you see Grey you may not get service.

Thanks guys,

I'm in Salt Lake City and actually had the same issue during my layover in Seattle.
I rebooted a number of times. Roaming is activated and the network selection is set to automatic. Do I need to change anything on the APN side?

cheers,
marc

You could try a manual scan for networks and try selecting each network until one activates.. If it does.

No need to edit apn

Large areas of the US southwest have poor coverage, regardless of carrier. I guess Monument Valley is not any anyone's priority list. Koodo (AT&T roaming partner) and Tracfone (Verizon CDMA) are both spotty, even on major highways.

Very true and forget T-Mobile they have little to no coverage out that way.

My phone does see AT&T (and Verizon and T Mobile) in the available networks but impossible to connect to any of them. I'm in downtown salt lake city, I would assume they have decent coverage. Any basic settings I should look into in my koodo account or my phone? thanks again guys

Nope, AT&T would be your choice. Nothing special you need to do to the phone.
