I can't get my phone connected to koodo network anywhere. It used to work in Quebec. It used to work hardly in new Brunswick but it wasn't quite working in nova Scotia, Newfoundland and PEI. I am very angry about that because I am travelling cross Canada and only need it for a few calls. But I am not able to do them. Right now it is just showing Rogers network but won't even connect to this one. Is anyone else having these problems?

Cheers and thanks

To resolve your connectivity issue, please try the following:

2)   Turn the phone off; Remove the SIM card from the device as well as the battery (if the phone has a removable battery). Let it sit for a few minutes and then re-assemble the device, power it on and see if it works. If not, continue reading!

3)   Verify your phone’s APN settings by using the following Koodo website’s information: If it is still not working for you, keep reading

4)   Verify if the phone has any available updates, sometimes there might be a bug that causes this kind of issue that is fixed in an update. If it is still not working, keep reading!

5)   This step is one of the less favourable steps and it is a factory reset on the device. Doing a factory reset can help resolve little glitches that the phone may have now. Doing this though will result in you loosing all data on your phone, except any data on an external memory card (with the exception of apps, apps will be lost regardless where they are stored). Hopefully, after a factory reset your device will work. If it is not, move on to the next step.

6)   At this point you are going to want to contact Koodo for further troubleshooting steps that surpass our expertise here on the Koodo community, they may try to get you to try another SIM card or be able to send your phone to get repaired (if it is still under warranty with no obvious accidental damage, it will most likely be free. If it is not under warranty, they will send it off and you will get a quote which you can choose to refuse and not be charged for anything.). To contact Koodo at this point, do not use your mobile phone, use a different phone using the number: 1-866-955-6636

Hope this helps! Have a great day!

Since it is only showing a Rogers network, the problem is likely to be that you have to enable 3G (if it is an iPhone try setting - cellular - enable 3G). Rogers has 2G networks but Koodo does not so 3G has to be enabled.

If it is an android then you would want it on LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect) or WCDMA/GSM (auto connect) - the path is similar - networks or more networks - mobile networks - click on network mode, and then choose one of the above.

With androids the path might not show networks or more networks, what you are looking for is something that says mobile networks - and that will get you there.

Please keep in mind that enabling 3G does not enable data - it is just for voice and text. :)

If you are on the road, hope you can can find a Koodo boutique en routeso that they can sort it out. Maybe a bad SIM or a defective phone.

Since you are travelling across Canada, be aware that in some areas of all Provinces there is No Telus (Koodo) Service. Each provider has some has some areas covered that the rest don't.
When I was last on a road trip across Canada I noticed large gaps in the T/Koodo coverage so I used the option of searching Networks (Carriers) to see who serviced that area, not that I had a phone for each provider.
Got Skype on your phone? Wifi and Skype go hand in hand.
