Have you tried restarting your phone and/or resetting your network settings?

What's the model number, is it compatible with koodos frequencies?
Data is enabled in the settings correct?
Was data working or is this the first time you're setting this phone up?

Hi Cameron,

I assumed your APN has been set to these https://www.koodomobile.com/help/setting-data-your-non-koodo-phone and the Mobile data is enabled in your phone. Did you have data with public mobile before and it worked?

You mentioned calling/MMS work, and you had 5GB of data? What was your data usage status in selfserve? Have you checked if there is an accidental data block add-on in your self-serve?

As the SIM worked in another phone, then the phone settings was the problem. As you have done most of the resetting, I would try to reset it to default factory settings. You need to backup all data before doing so, as the factory reset will delete all.

Before performing a factory reset, try resetting the phones' settings first. This is similar to a factory reset, in that, it restores ALL settings to default, but leaves all user data intact.

To do this, go to: Settings > Backup & reset - tap Reset settings > Review the disclaimer then tap RESET SETTINGS - tap OK to confirm.

Did factory reset it worked but I guess I did not back up some contacts and lost a few.

Glad to hear that it worked. For the future so it doesn't happen again, you can save contacts to your google account and it'll back up contacts automatically.
