I currently have an LG Banter phone with a slide out keyboard that I love but due to the changes coming it will soon no longer work on the network.

I don't use data but basically just want a phone for talk and text. I want to keep away from blackberry products so what phone do people recommend? I don't want to spend a fortune on a phone.

If you're looking for a good phone on a small Tab (-150 subsidy), you can't go wrong with the Lumia 635, Galaxy Core LTE, or Moto G. They're all good budget smartphones.

I don't mind going up to tab medium.

I have the Moto G and it's great! I got it with the Small Tab, and I didn't have to pay for it upfront. It's a great quality phone for someone on a budget. It has all of the features that come with an Android phone: built-in apps, clear and bright screen, easy to navigate, takes good pictures. It was a big upgrade for me: I used to have a very old phone with a tiny screen and a keyboard. The only thing that I don't like about it is that the screen is large (NOT as large as the new Samsung phones) and it doesn't take great pictures at nighttime. Other than that, it might be worth checking out!
