No bars. I have two phones, one an Iphone 5S the other Samsung Galaxy. The Samsung gets great service (my husbands) but my IPhone gets one bar and is slow and frustrating

It may simply be time to upgrade your phone to something that will receive service better. Is it an older model of iPhone?
Is the phone itself slow or does it take a long time to send texts, load pages with data, etc.

Hello Cynthia, does the iPhone generally have terrible signal or are you comparing the kind of service between the phones everywhere you go?

There's no standard for signal "bars" - companies set their own thresholds. One bar on an iPhone may be the same as 3 bars on the Samsung. What you can do to try and fix any issues would be to reset your iPhone's network settings (settings > general > reset > reset network settings; you'll lose any saved WiFi passwords but nothing else).

The iPhone 5S is a 3.5 year old model, as as such you may be experiencing a loss in performance that has more to do with its age rather than with the network connection. What model Galaxy is your husband using?

I recently bought iphone SE refurbished i add and loving it. Sad to hear that iphone 5s would be bad. I upgraded iphone4 month ago and was running ok but that one was old not 5s.

Hey koodo, if 5s is old why offer it for sale and risk gettingbad reputation on that. Keep your ears and eyes open to clients.

The 5S has been in production for a long time. There can be huge differences between models that have been used for 3 years vs models that have just been purchased. Regular use can wear down phones.

We need more information about her case before we can be more exact.
