Why is the Nexus 5 retail $500 on Koodo and $349 from Google (32MB)

It's also because Google essentially sells Nexus phones at wholesale, rather than retail prices.

Also while it is 500 on koodo, you do have the ability to use the tab to subsidize the cost. Or you could buy it from google and sign up for 10% off your monthly bill if you have no tab owing. :)

Thanks. It's $349 in Canada retail. I think it makes sense (pun intended) to get it from Google. I don't like the idea of paying a premium from Koodo for nothing.

The $349 is for the 16 gig version, the 32 gig is $399, which is still better than getting it from Koodo considering the price and storage. They also have white and bright red on the Play store, which Koodo doesn't.
