The Nexus 4 is an unlocked phone. It is not made in a locked version. Koodo won't sell one to you without an account though, if you're buying it to use with another carrier.

You'll uave to open an account with Koodo either a Postpaid account or prepaid account. The phone is $300 on a Postpaid account or $350 on a prepaid account. They will have to set the phone up at the time of purchase on either of these koodo accounts. A Postpaid account takes a credit check.

You must sign up with koodo as your service provider or they won't sell you a phone.

Hey Timo, just to give a little bit more information, if the phone is purchased at a Koodo Shop, an account needs to be activated. If it's purchased at a retailer, it's up to the retailer to decide to activate the account or not.
