I have a Nexus 4, the phone is in mint condition been in a good case and screen protector since day one. The phone has never given me trouble until yesterday. I put my phone on charge overnight as usual was at 30% then when I woke up it was at 4% and extremely hot so I unplugged it to let it cool off and the phone died. So I tried again the nexus loading page was on the phone for 2 hours until it finally turned on and now the speaker, headset won't work so I can't place or receive calls, I have very poor signal now and my battery takes forever to charge and dies quick. The phone is up to date with software never had a problem until now. I want a new phone because I need calling for work but only have $100 available on my tab

If you've had the phone under a year and you got it from Koodo then it should still be under warranty. Contact koodo to arrange for warranty repairs. If you got it from Google, contact Google for warranty repairs

Koodo will provide you a loaner while your phone is being fixed

If it's over a year you still have some options.

Use self serve to pay off your tab and have it appear on your next bill. This will clear your tab and make it available for you to use towards another phone. When the next bill comes you'll have some time to repay the remaining tab (basically your due date).

Or

If you can afford it, just buy another phone from Koodo or Kijiji. I live kijiji for used electronics. A few tips if you're buying a used or new kijiji phone.

Buy a phone that's been listed for a while. As mobile Master Ivan points out, these phones are less likely to be reported as stolen and black listed.

When you do agree on a price, make sure you meet in a public place. Never goto someone's home to complete the transaction.

Hope this helps somewhat.

No, the tab large requires a Tab Large plan so you wouldn't be able to keep your current plan. Plus it's not possible to upgrade your tab and carry over the balance "just keep paying" you'd need to either continue paying your current tab or pay it off and start a new one.

I've had my nexus 4 do this to me as well.
Usually when you go into settings and then battery you can see the culprit which is causing your phone to run down.
Some apps get buggy and they run in the background, killing battery life.
You can simply delete the app or perform a quick reset, that helps a lot as well.
Hope you can sort if out!

I let my phone sit for awhile powered off. My speakers seem to work now, phone doesn't run as hot my notification light stays on but nothing bad my battery life seems livable. I'll see how long I can squeeze the life out of this so I can lower my tab for an upgrade. Thanks Everyone!
