I just took my phone case off my phone to clean it and noticed that the metal casing on my phone is bent next to the volume rocker button. I've done some googling and it appears that this is an issue with this phone. Do I take my phone to a kiosk to get it repaired? Replaced?

This is a tough one since this is probably considered physical damage.

However it doesnt hurt to bring it into a Koodo kiosk and try.

Make sure you have documentation that this is an established manufacturer defect.  Something official from Google would be best

It's not an issue unless abused, nothing will be done about it. The only way to bend it is to sit on it or try bending it especially with a case on it.

Well then, good to know nothing will be done because it will CLEARLY only bend if it has been abused...

I've seen videos of the 6P bending far too easily. Like I see people bending them to the point of snapping with their hands with no visible shaking easy. None of this is obviously official. You can try to use all the anecdotal evidence but it probably won't help because it's anecdotal.

Having said that, with a case on it's possible that it bent from you having it in a pant pocket and sitting down. I think that tends to be considered "abuse."

Lol yeah that idiot. He did bend a second one explaining why it's apparently so bendable and didn't take a lighter to it. Seems to make sense, his explanation. Total Tech thinks he's just joking around and you do see the person visibly shaking but unable to bend it. A couple others can flex but not bend it. It is of course all anecdotal. Jerryrig could have just had a couple lemons that bent or he did something.

The bend is only on one side next to the power button and it is always in my purse. I guess one could argue that I abuse it by putting the case on and taking it off again. Poorly designed phone if that is indeed what has caused the metal casing to lift.

Did you ever have your screen repaired because it looks like it was bend with a pry tool / small screw driver?
Can you take another picture where it shows it a little better?

I have not had my screen replaced. I bought a tempered glass screen protector and it has worked beautifully so far.

I have the phone and take the case on and off at least once a week to clean the phone and never have I bend the phone, it's not made of aluminum foil, it takes more pressure than that to bend that thick of aluminum.

So..... I figured out what has bent the frame on my phone. It definitely was a type of pry tool. Two very new and pearly white pry tools :( Guess I'm going to need a sturdier case!
