So I got my first phone yesterday. The Nexus 5. I was told that I could update it to 5.0 after I activated my device, but it never happened. I only got one update. It was to get it to version 4.4.4. I've tried googling why it wasn't updating to 5.0. All I got were a bunch of topics about 5.0 and how to flash my device and then install it. I don't want to flash my device because I don't want to risk messing things up. I've seen other people form another thread say something about it not updating, but I want to know why? Any help would be really appreciated.

It's a staggered release by Google. it'll happen, just be patient and one day before the end of January you'll have it.
