My Nexus 5 (bought July 2015) just randomly died. the battery was partially charged when it died. I have tried pressing combinations of the power and volume buttons and nothing happens. Anything else I can try to restart it?

This happened to my nexus 5.

If the power button is stuck , tap the phone on a table softly about 10x. The power button may have gotten stuck down in the off position and needs to be knocked back into position. You can also try flicking the power button a few times.

If its dead not much you can do unless its under warranty. You could try leaving it on the charger for a day or so to see if that helps bring it back to life.

Never mind, I plugged it in again and it started up!

Not a problem. The nexus 5 power issues are common. Tons of forums online about it.

Another thing to try that I did to mine when it happened was to take the back off the phone and blow around the power button while tapping it with your finger then replace the back and away you go.
