Lot of rumours are going on regarding next Apple move regarding new version of iPHONE, they don't seem too sure whether the next iPhone is going to be the iPhone 5S or the iPhone 6.

Leaked photos show that the phone will remain similar in design and will have a larger battery.

if iOS 7 is any preview of what's in store, then I think I will be disappointed

I'm actually very pleased with iOS 7. Been running the beta since it was available for developers. Updated to beta 2 yesterday.

With the new quick toggles and multitasking view, I no longer have to jailbreak my phone to get it to my liking.

Does it have gridlock functionality?
I also like Cascade and Infinidock at the same time. Makes my dock icons look like coverflow

There is no denying that iOS is a phone OS that works nicely, but it's lots its wow factor many moons ago. Competition stepped up to the plate (Samsung, HTC and Nokia anyone?) and the mobile landscape is a lot more interesting now than it was not even 2 years ago. The iPhone still has fantastic hardware fit & finish, but even if the locked down OS has more features now than in the past, it's still a locked down OS, which is both its biggest strength and it's lamest weakness.

Whatever happens, Apple will have to rejuvenate themselves sooner than later. They're still highly profitable, but there's no denying their market share is slipping away, one user at a time. They got where they are by storming the market with something never seen before (well, it had been seen before, but not as well polished as what Apple was offering). They'll need that mojo again because iOS7's fresh coat of paint likely will leave many disappointed.

All of my friends that are on iOS think that iOS7 is fantastic after playing with my phone and a few have requested that I install the beta on their devices.

Every diehard iPhone user thinks every iteration of iOS is fantastic Philo, hehe. However, numbers speak for themselves, and although the iPhone's marketshare is still way up there, it has declined over the years with other players catching up.

In my personal case, while I think the iPhone is a beautiful piece of hardware, I have problems with the company behind it. IMHO, Apple tries too hard to impose its way of doing things, and I just hate being told how I should use my devices. I like to tinker and everything in between, so iOS is a no-no in my case.

I also love to tinker, but not with everything. I absolutely cannot stand Apple as a company but I can't let that stop me from using an iPhone. It does everything I need it to do, and I don't have to give it a second thought.

When I'm on Android, I have to always be conscious of what my phone is doing. Apps have more freedom and integrate into the OS nicely but I'll forget to kill something and there goes 10% of my battery on nothing.

I know that every diehard iPhone fan thinks every iOS release is fantastic, but I'm not one of them and neither are my friends. I have never been impressed by an iOS release until now and have never bought an iPhone at launch (but have done so with Android, WP8, and BB10).

All good points Philo! I enjoy my Androids though, and I just hope all smartphone users can find what fills their needs/wants, whatever the OS. The last thing one wants is to spend money only to be disappointed!

I agree TopperCNC everybody has their own likes. Some people like Android, some like iOS. For me I like both plat forms. I have an iPhone and its great. I used to have an Android (HTC One) it was a great phone too.
