Will Koodo let me pay off the balance of my current tab? if so does this mean I can then use one of the new tab options to buy a new phone without having to switch plans?

You cannot pay off a tab unless you cancel (which we would not want to happen lol)
You can still get one of the new tab setups as long as you have a plan that is $30 or more on the account

Hi Tyler, the Tab S doesn't require a $30 plan :)

You don't pay off the Tab unless you're cancelling service, you just pay the difference between the retail price of the new device and your Tab available for subsidy.

You can move up to the Medium Tab for a new device and keep your old plan as long as it is above $30. You will then receive a 15% contribution towards your tab and no matter which plan you end up going with, a Tab charge of $5 will be added onto your bill to pay the Tab faster. This can't be removed until the tab is paid for. At 24 months, the tab is cleared, regardless of any remaining balance.

I love the phone almost completely except it doesn't allow SD cards...

I can use up the phone storage easily :P
