Frustrated!!! I was just about to go out and get a new phone for my daughter and today the prices are all $100+ higher then yesterday. NOT cool!!! Now I can not afford to get her one.

This is what happens after "boxing week" sales. Every year with everything, not just cellphones.

I understand that, but at the same time, she had the money saved up for an Nexus 5, on a medium tab as she currently has a ace 2x, to have the price jump $100 the day you go to buy it is not a good thing. I have also been trying to get my hands on a Note 2 for myself and they have not been available in stores for me to pick up, and that has now gone up as well :( Feeling a little defeated today, I was hoping I could at least get her, the new phone she saved all her christmas money for. Thanks for the suggestion but not what she had her heart set on

If she really wanted the phone she would buy it regardless of the cost. Just look at all the people with iPhones...

The Moto G is still way better than an Ace II X (a lot of things are) so while it may not be what she wanted, it's a great alternative.

There were several days after Christmas up until Jan 2nd for her to get the phone at the sale price. Looks like you waited too long and will continue to wait a while again. I'm sorry that this happened to you but sales go away, especially after Boxing Week.

I always tell my customers to jump on promotions when they see them. If you think I'm being a pushy sales guy, then that's fine with me, but don't expect to see the same deals a few weeks after I tell you about it. I just can't seem to win here lol

If the plans get better, than whoop de doo, you can switch to the new ones that are offered any time you want. There's also a 2 week price protection in place so if you buy the phone and the price goes up, you're safe. If it goes down, we'll match it. You really can't lose by activating sooner rather than later, ESPECIALLY during Christmas and Boxing Week. The same thing happened last year and everyone was mad but... that's the nature of the business.

I understand completely, I use to manage a mobile store for Aliant here in NS. So I get that it is best to get the promo's quickly. I have been calling stores and stopping in for weeks trying to get the Note 2. As for my daughter she is 14 and I made her save her money to get her own upgrade to the nexus 5, she was waiting on the last little bit of money she needed to get it, and then of course we get a blizzard and no way to get to the store. I was hoping we had until monday to get the price, but no luck. Honestly just venting my frustrations lol She is really upset. She will still get the nexus she is going to have to raise the rest of the money to do it. I can not justify the large tab packages as they are not a great deal.
