New sim no service

Bought my sim card at Best Buy, registered my kudos account and bought a prepaid plan. Put my sim in my phone and no service. Tried rebooting many times, still no service. Then I read that I have to make sure my number is activated in my self serve account so I tried to login but  says my account does not exist. Thought I would ask customer service what the problem would be but they are trying to charge me $30 for it! What a #$%&ing scam. I just lost out on almost $100. Only thing I can do now is warn others not to use Kudos. On my way to every forum I can find. #$%& you Kudos!

Todd,

You need to activate your prepaid SIM from this link first https://activateprepaid.koodomobile.com/
Have you received the confirmation email that your account was active?

The $30 connection fee is for new postpaid customers who activate instore. That was bad, but all carriers are charging postpaid customers with that amount.

They actually said 30 dollars? Here is the list of charges for calling in and what for and even activating prepaid is only 15:

Well you can leave Koodo but personally I'd stay since I'm down 100 bucks anyways. And then leave. Can you let us know if you got the confirmation email and what not as Dinh above is asking?

Did you check your spam folder for a confirmation email?

Todd you have an account but have you registered for a self serve account so you are able to log in to it? By the sounds of it you haven't which is why it's not recognizing your email address.

How did you register your prepaid account?

Did you call customer service and they confirmed your account was created?
Did you guys walk through the login process prior to hanging up?

Kudos did help me but it took a while to figure out that I needed to factory reset my phone after I unlocked it. I guess Kudos assumed that I unlocked my phone in the past but I did it today. There was the confusion. I must say, in the end, they were helpful and I would recommend them. Sorry for what I said, thanks Kudos.
