I have a tab credit of just over $93 and would like to get a new phone. The plan I'm currently on has not been offered for several years. Do I need to switch plans in order to get a new phone?

Hello! No you do not need to change your plan to use your positive balance an the new tab switch over. So long as you don't opt for tab plus you will not have to change your plan.

Just to add to what Goran said, if you do decide to get a new tab with your existing bill, the amount on the tab will be divided in 24 monthly payments to pay off your tab and added onto your bill. Ex: 240$ on your tab would add 10$ +tax to your phone plan.
