New phone, new SIM card, my current account will not accept the new SIM card number

I have a new phone and new SIM card, when I put it into my phone and sent to self-serve to enter the new SIM number, it says SIM card is already in use? Any idea what’s going on? Thanks!

Does your phone work with new SIM in?
If so, your SIM is already activated.

Did you buy it as a new or upgrade?

@Carol: As you posted in the Prepaid area, was your SIM a prepaid one? if the SIM was already activated then it was ready to use, I would suggest you check your email (the one you registered with Koodo) and see if there was a Koodo email there.

How did you get the phone and Sim card? Were they from Koodo? Are you sure it's a prepaid Sim? Does your old prepaid Sim still work and is it the same size that will fit in the new phone?
