EXACT message when dialed call screws up? Depends often on the outside carrier.

If your number is (514) 123-4567, try dialing (dashes are not dialed, just for clairty):
+1-514-123-4567 (hold down the zero key to get the plus sign)
or
1-514-123-4567
or
514-123-4567

On Koodo network, I have had to add the 1- to all of my contacts for them to work automatically, since they are all "long-distance".

While I am in the US using an AT&T network, I have to get rid of the 1- in contacts and dial the 514- number direct or the call cannot be completed.

The thing is when I call my number it says number does not exist (old provider voice plays saying that) . Even with a one in front. But when I call another phone from my new phone it shows up as my number (the number that apparently doesn't exist)

Try resetting the phone. Turn it off, pull the battery out for 15 minutes (if feasible), then re-start, go into airplane mode and then come out of it. Re-try. No joy?

You had best contact Koodo on a landline 1-866-995-6636

Leave the cell free to make whatever adjustments they might require.
