I got a new iphone 5S on Saturday at a Koodo booth. I immediately put it on to airplane mode. I have an old plan with no data as I do not need it. I never had an issue with my old Samsung phone and was never charged anything for data and only occasionally used wifi. Today I logged on to self serve to update a new credit card number and noticed I have been charged $5.00 for data.... What else do I need to do with the iphone to turn off all data so I won't be charged again?? Also can I get this $5.00 cancelled?

Hello Janice.

If you tue your phone in airplane mode it becomes useless. You need to toggle off cellular data. You surely got charged for a minimal amount the phone was open while doing the initial setup or something. In order to dispute those charges, you would need to call Koodo!
