When I touch the screen of my new HTC One m8 there is a white circle on the screen where I touch. It also shows a wavy blob when I scroll to the bottom of any screen. I looked online and it was suggested to go to Developer options and turn off "show touches". Mine is already turned off. How can I get my phone to stop showing a white blob everywhere I touch on the screen? Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you tried turning all developer settings off to see if its another setting there that may have been changed?

Thanks. Yes I turned them all off, also rebooted the phone. No change.

Try performing a factory reset of the device (after backing up all your info) and set up as a new device during the set up process to see if it does it. If it doesn't then perform another factory reset and restore the device with the backed up data and see if it does it. If it doesn't do it them proceed with fixed device. If it does do it in both of those instances then it is a hardware issue and will need repair, bring it to your local Koodo kiosk to be sent away for repair.

Hey Floridot! Did Paul's suggestion to proceed with a factory reset work? Keep us in the loop!

The factory reset did not solve it. I called HTC technical support and the person I spoke to got out an m9 updated to marshmallow. By playing with the phone they were able to tell me that it's part of the marshmallow update. I appreciate your suggestions Paul, thank you.
