New customer. I send every morning to about 150 people a long sms (about 400 char). I send it about one every 5 secs. Not using group messaging software. At some point some sms wont get delivered. I do not have any !error and only know the message was not delivered by calls and received messages from frustrated people. Do I hit some kind of limit? (I have unlimited SMS plan) Those message are NOT unsolicited. I tried sending a 3 lines text message to my friend to whom I didn't send any message prior this morning and he only received 1 out of 5 of my messages. Same thing is happening with a different messaging software and a different phone with my sim card.

My phone is a LG G5 and I also tried on Galaxy S8: same result :(

It just tends to break down a bit in reliably sending mass messages. Sometimes doing so will trigger spam safeguards for certain carriers as well.

Is it possible to know what are the limits ? 5 every minute?

If you are using this for commerce, you might find a bulk SMS service a simple choice. I use such a service for emails so I remain compliant with anti-spam legislation, etc.

AFAIK, koodo has a limit on the order of somewhere around 200 messages an hour. After that point your ability to send any messages whatsoever will be blocked at least for several hours, possibly as much as a full day. Also be aware that a 400 character sms message will be automatically split by the system into multiple threaded messages of about 150 characters each. This means that 150 400 character messages goes through koodo's system as more like 450 messages. Pretty much guaranteed to get your account locked for spamming.

YAY for ''unlimited messaging'' limited to 4800 150chars each 24h. Ok I'll try to work around that limitation. Thank you.

It's unfortunate but Koodo has to strike a balance between mass messaging and spamming. It works for nearly all use cases.

I understand completely and do not mind the limitations. I would love thougth receiving a message that I overstepped and what to not do. Instead I had to call and look around to figure it out.

Such information is usually not shared with the sender as the algorithms change regularly, and sharing too much information defeats the purpose of anti-spam initiatives.
