New customer looking for my PIN

We have an iPhone 6 and we are switching from Telus to Koodo. The SIM card arrived in the mail today. We are trying to port the old Telus number but Koodo wants our PIN, something that we do not have yet. We have gone to the page for changing PINs, but we need an old PIN in order to proceed. Is there any work around?

hi Don,
If you are porting from Telus to Koodo, you would need the Telus PIN not Koodo PIN. I believe if you don't remember the PIN you could use also your Telus account number to port the number in.

Thanks for the tip but adding the Telus act.# does not work. The pop up message says the old PIN is incorrect.

I think you would just need either the account # or PIN, don't put 2 at the same time. I read somewhere, it might report error. Have you tried it? Normally your name, your number and your account# is enough.

Did your Telus account have a pin# set up for it? It would be something that you set up. If it didn't leave that blank. If it did you should contact Telus to retrieve it. If it had a pin and you don't enter the number, it might screw up the port.
