I want to switch to Koodo but have poor credit and want a post bill plan like the one I have with Bell... is this possible. I am in good standing with the phone company... been with them 8 yeas.

2. Can you tell me more about the service area... The reason I want to switch is , there's no service in my area. They too, claim to be on the largest network
3. What fees am I looking at for hook up... From what I understand the bill comes later and there is 10 or 15 dollar card change fee correct? (Canada)
4. I have a Samsung Note 4. Is that compatible with your system
5. Also what is the difference between unlimited minutes and unlimited incoming calls? Doesn't unlimited minutes mean it's all included?

Hi Alexandra. To answer your questions:
1. Regarding your credit rating...assuming you don't have any debt to Telus/Koodo, you'll likely be fine. My understanding is that if you want a new phone when switching to Koodo, and they don't find your credit rating to be good enough, they may require you to pay the balance of the phone subsidy up-front. If you do the credit check using driver's licence plus credit card (that hasn't expired), you will most likely pass. Your current Bell account should support your credit rating as well.
2. No network on Bell means probably no network on Telus/Koodo. Bell and Telus share towers, although they have their own antennas. This means you might experience very slight differences in network coverage, but they're almost the same. For data speeds, Telus has LTE Advanced out West, and Bell has LTE Advanced out East (wouldn't matter because LTE Advanced only works with newer premium phones).
3. It's $10 for the sim card on a post-paid activation. Some 3rd party retailers might have ways to discount it. Billing is pro-rated.
4. Your Galaxy Note 4 will work with Koodo. I've used the Note 4 with Koodo sims and have had no issues (was the Bell variant of the Note 4). The phone must be carrier unlocked. If your phone is not unlocked yet, the unlock code should be $12 on eBay.
5. Unlimited minutes includes unlimited incoming calls. Older plans had separate allowances for incoming and outgoing calls. At the time of writing, in-market plans have either X amount of minutes per month or unlimited minutes, and make no distinction of whether the call is incoming or outgoing, and in most cases whether it's a local or long distance call within Canada.

Most phones Alexandra are locked to the carrier you bought them from. In order to make them work with other carriers you need to unlock them by using code as per Titaniumtux. It's very easy. Also, just so you know we are predominantly self-serve brand so most our support is online. On a public forum like this or your online account. We also only provide e.bill. Hope to see you join us soon!
