what's with the koodo network. i have been getting network disabled notices. i have had to sign in to this site 5 times today because the network was down. its been happening a lot lately. its also lot slower loading any website. is it the 4g ? should get an lte phone. why on this site do i keep missing words i have typed.

Hi Lorne,

Whereabouts are you? Might be a problem with the network where you are... though I haven't heard anything (nobody posted problems today, or maybe I missed it)...

Not sure why this site is missing words, do you mean on your phone? Yesterday there was a bit of a problem with the site but that's all sorted now.

I have similar issues...but mostly with performance in using the mobile browser. Even typing in responses is REALLY delayed to react...notice the same thing on specific PCs at work as well.

I haven't been with koodo very long but the 3G network on my iPhone 4 is very slow. Website load slow or freeze and text messages are very delayed. They try to blame it on my phone running slow but my phone has 10g of free space on it so lots of power. They need to sort this it's brutal

Turn "Airplane mode" on for about a minute, turn it off and confirm thet cellular data is on. If so, try to borwse and see if that changed at all.

Is the iphone 4 a Koodo Iphone? If not, sync the phone with Itunes and click YES when asked if you want to update the carrier settings.

If that doesn't change anything, call Koodo tech support at 1-866-995-6636 from another phone then wait for the options. Option 6 is what you will press.

The 3G network is getting slower, it takes way longer to load web pages than it ever has. This could be due to the volume of customers on the 3G network. Carriers would suggest, buy a new iPhone to get on the LTE network. Yet, when the LTE first came out, a few friends and I all noticed a significant speed reduction in the 3G. I Was also just checking this out online, Verizon does a "data" throttle, where unlimited customers get slowed down, if they use over 2G of data, they are marked as high data users and their speeds will be slowed. So, if Verizon is slowing people, who else is???

I do not believe Koodo will throttle data use on the phone. The speed of the data could just be a loclized issue on the device or your specific connection.
