I'm currently looking at a new phone since I cracked my screen and I was wondering if a phone with a Network Band of GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz + 3G WCDMA 850/2100MHz would be able to run on the Koodo network with my sim?

I wouldn't recommend it. Koodo (and other Big 3 brands) is on an 850/1900 network. Your coverage may be limited. I suggest a phone with both 850/1900 bands.

I just posted that that it's not the same > Koodo = 850/1900

and the phone logan mentioned has the 850 for voice/data, and 1900 for voice as well. since the 850 band is pretty much everywhere, there should be no problem... i have used an 850 mhz only phone with great success on koodo

Only on gsm, koodo uses wcdma and the frequencies listed for this phone are 850/2100

Thanks for the replies, I'm not really sure which answer is correct though so if you guys could clear it up that'd be great! :)

The answer is that it will probably work, but not as well as one that supports both 850 and 1900 MHz for HSPA/WCDMA.

Yup you have to keep in mind that Koodo does not have 2G/GSM available so you aren't getting the full reception based on the fact that phone doesn't have both bands Koodo uses.
