I need to upgrade my iphone 4 and was tossing between a Samsung or the Moto as I really want a bigger screen. I mainly use the phone for texting and emails and pictures. Any suggestions that you have would be great. Thank you

Both companies have great phones. The Samsung s5neo is great for emails and texting and is 0$. But the moto lineup is also great. Do some reviews on YouTube to see which you like better

I suggest the Moto g4 plus if it's still 288 total on small tab. There's nothing wrong with with s5 neo, but I think I is overpriced for wha you get. Otherwise actually I'd grab an international edition Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro from geekbuying. I figure if Motorola is no longer doing regular updates, may a well hit up Xiaomi for much better hardware for 50-200 less.

Never heard of the 3rd phone you mentioned but did google it.

It's not sold in Canada directly but it's an incredibly popular phone worldwide. GSMArena has a pretty detailed review on it. If you do go for it, make sure it's the snapdragon 650 pro international edition version via geekbuying as I said. The latest version has a greatly expanded LTE band list, so it's now also fully compatible with LTE in Canada.

The S5 Neo is great for $0 on Tab M right now, as is the LG G4, which has a bigger, higher resolution screen and better camera but is not water resistant and has arguably slightly shorter battery life.

Another option is the Motorola G4 Plus for a good size battery, plenty of RAM, and big screen, but the processor is weaker than the other 2.

If you're looking outside of Koodo, the Axon 7 and OnePlus3 both offer excellent value for their price points.

Thank you, was hoping to stay with Koodo cause I have had great service with them. Friends of mine have told me some horror stories and companies they are with at a very high price. I'm on a very basic plan myself.

Do you have a budget? If you just want something that takes awesome pictures in any lighting conditions the best camera on a phone is packed into the Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge. The Galaxy S6 is the second best camera wise. Anything else is going to take great pictures in well lit situations but deteriorate quality drastically in low light situations. Since you are presently using quite an old phone I'm thinking you don't get a new phone often so you may want to pay more to get a top end phone like the Samsung's I suggested as they will last much longer as they are more future proof.

If price is a factor then I'd go with either of the phones first suggested by others, the S5 Neo or the Moto G4 or better yet the LG G4 which is probably one of the best bang for your buck devices Koodo offers at the moment.

Will check those out at the Koodo store. Would be nice that I don't also have to sit by a wi-fi device to be online. All places I go I cannot pick up anything and have to go 3G so I don't like using it much. Thank you

All of the suggestions have been good, but they've all been for Android devices. I see nothing wrong with that, but since you're coming from an iPhone, I suggest that you play around with a few Android phones for reference. BestBuy is a great place for this as they tend to have a few working models on the floor. This phone will likely be with you for the next few years so I'd advise you to look at these things before you buy.

In that case, the Moto G4 Plus on tab small for 288, if there's moto x plays available at the store you will go to, it's 240 and equivalent to the Moto G4 Plus. Also Visa Checkout has 20 off purchases of 100 or more via bestbuy atm so you can take advantage of that once you see something you want. I would not suggest the 2015 Moto G if you see any, since they still show up for 240. The Lg G4 for 360 remains very compelling. These you should find at Bestbuy to try out.

Good to hear. If I do get a phone at Best Buy can I still have it activated through Koodo? Stupid question I know but so confusing to me, now give me a power tool and I'm there! lol

Best Buy is a Koodo reseller/retailer, so yes. They are authorized to do activations and upgrades on your account.

While you should obviously take cost into consideration, I would advise you against only using cost to determine which phone would be best for you. Obviously I'm not suggesting you double your budget, but something that is within about $100 or so may turn out to be much better for you in the long run.

Your iPhone 4 was released 6 years ago, meaning that your device is at least 4 years old. You've definitely got your money's worth out of that phone. And chances are that you're doing more with your phone now and will continue to do more and more in the future. These devices are quickly becoming the primary means of web access. They're computers - I certainly use my phone more than my tablet/laptop hybrid, because it's always in my pocket.

Whatever phone you decide on, it will be a massive improvement over the wonderfully obsolete iPhone 4. :)

I'm going to stop in at Best Buy later today to see what is out there. I totally understand what you are saying.
