You can login to self serve and report the phone as lost/stolen. This will temporarily suspend your account (sim) so that no one can use it.

I will add that if you only lost your sim, not your phone, you can simply just buy a new sim card and activate that one instead.

Hello there.

Doing what Allan said will prevent anyone from running up charges on your phone, but does not cancel your service. You will need to keep paying your monthly bill. I would recommend replacing the phone or cancelling the account soon after suspending, otherwise you're paying your bill for nothing.

Make sure you try Find My iPhone or Android Device manager too.  Once you suspend it, you may lose the ability to track the phone if you have data enabled
