Make sure you have 3G enabled in the settings and not 2G. What phone is it? Be specific so we can check frequencies

Settings - More Networks - Mobile Networks - change the Network Mode to WCDMA or 3g

The only options it gives me are : HSPA only , GSM only , GSM/HSPA , and GSM/HSPA/LTE

Ok choose HSPA unless you want LTE then choose GSM/HSPA/LTE
The second one will take quite a bit more battery unless your in an area that LTE coverage is solid

So I chose LTE because I have a data plan, but every time I touch network operators and then click koodo, it says unavailable try again later and it's been doing that for a day. Even with my Simcard in it

HSPA connection allows you to use data as well it's just a slower connection.
Ok so you activated the SIM Card right?
If you activated it then try doing a battery and SIM Card pull for a minute or so then replace them and try it again, make sure the SIM Card is in the right way and that it's the proper sized SIM Card for the phone.

Is the phone working for anything, texts, calls?

I originally had my Sim card in an old phone but had to get this phone unlocked so I could use my Sim card in it. Nothing is working right now, the phone is unlocked with the right.apn for koodos network but every time I try to connect it says unable to connect try again later. How do u activate a Sim card

So the SIM Card worked in another phone and you were using Koodo?

Check out this website: protectyourdata.ca

Put in the IMEI of your phone, which can be found by going to "about phone" in settings or typing in *#06# into your phone dialer. Your phone may be blacklisted.
