Neat that we can see levels.

I think it's neat we can see the levels of posters now in a topic, however I see one small issue with that. Before with no frames but champs/employees it was easy to tell them apart from everyone, and everyone else could be easily identified by their profile pic.

Now with the new setup a large chunk of users are the same colour on their frames and it actually has the effect of hiding their display picture a bit making it seem like the same person is posting multiple times. Not sure how that could be fixed but I think it's cool that everyone is designated some how and not just champs/employees.

I think it's a good idea. That way, you can kind of tell who is experienced or not. Thus thinking to yourself if their advice is reliable or not. Plus, I like having the label, 'GENIUS' under me. It makes me feel smart.

I don't mind that they're there at all (hope it didn't come off that way). Just the large influx of orange frames is the distracting part. Maybe there's some way to make them stand out less?

I think other than "Employees" & "Mobile Masters" it's taken from the person's Badgeville level.

It's still brand new & I'm sure they'll tweak it.
I'll flag this thread tomorrow, thanks Jorden.

Thanks will be interesting to see what if any tweaks come from it. I'm definatly more positive than negative with this (which is why I did it as praise and not a suggestion). Maybe there's a way to make it so the colour matches the avatar better? (I know thats not nearly as easy and requires more manpower). LIke how John's blue matches his pic neatly. Don't expect this option to happen but I have no other ideas so I'm throwing it out there anyway :)

We're not able to make the color change but a great workaround is to change your avatar so that it matches the color on your skin :)

Am I the only one who thinks this badge/ranking thing is completely useless? I don't really see what the benefit of it is, other then to maybe pad some peoples internet egos?

We don't think so :)
The badges and levels help to establish trust in the Koodo community. Customers can now quickly identify active users that have knowledge and experience in answering questions. The impact for members like yourself is that achieving the different levels puts you in the running for our next Mobile Master.

Completing the badges and levels in our Koodo community is one half of the decision making process, the other half is a qualitative assessment from Koodo (grammar, customer service, helpfulness etc). There are many perks to becoming a Mobile Master; exclusive access to behind-the-scenes projects, borrow and test the latest phones and a cool Koodo swag kit: http://koo.do/Skmf1n.
