Hello, I have a question about the data, I'm not very smart when it comes to cell phones plan and stuff.now I have the $29 a month plan with 100 minutes and no data.since day 1 I turn off the mobile data on my phone and a week after I call koodo and ask for my data to be block.I have had pretty bad experiences in the past so I didn't really trust the mobile data off so that's why I need it block. However when I see my account in the koodo app it says nationwide tier 1 0/49mb total chargeable amount $7.50
What that suppose to mean? I called to block my data this appear after I call.and my mobile data was off since day 1.I have had the phone for like 2 weeks .please help!!!!!

Sounds like an extremely small amount of data was used before you turned it off. Definitely call koodo *611 from your koodo phone for something like that as it says 0/49 mb. They'll probably refund the charge.

When the phone is first set up it automatically updates installed apps from the second you set up the phone initially until you shut off your data connection. Check your self serve to see if it was indeed the day you first got the phone that the data was used and this may be the case.

Hello and thanks for the fast reply.I look online and the data was charged for today July 7.it's ridiculous because like I said it has been always off.and I call today and they blocked it and the nationwide tier 1 appear right after I called it was not there before.let's say I pay the 7.50 is that amount monthly? I mean I don't even use Internet at all that's why I block it? .I though I wouldn't have any problems with koodo.it's been only a week and I already having trouble.

How do you know you are charged for data?

Did you get your ebill yet? Even if data was used today, it wouldn't have been invoiced and charged to you yet.

I got my e bill yesterday and I just concerned because like I said I check my usage everyday and today after I called to block the data the total chargeable 7.50 appears in the koodo app under the 0/49mb . Should I wait until my next bill? Or do the 7.50 means I'll be charge if I use the 49mb? Or even if i dont use the 49mb at all I'll still have to pay 7.50? It's Confusing

I would call into Koodo tomorrow and calmly explain your data charges on your current ebill. Hopefully they will reverse it.

I would also ask them about your new data charge on your self serve app.

The data block at the account level should block all data regardless if you have data on or off at the phone level

If you are not charged on your ebill and this says you used 0 data then I wouldn't be too worried.

The self serve app displaying this would confuse me too. You could call Koodo back to ask but I don't have any idea of what it is suppose to mean. However I understand your confusion now as I am confused too
