So 3 days ago my phone got stolen (there were witnesses, i didn't just lose it... plus he wouldn't pick up the phone so he had no intentions of returning it to me).
I had the ap Lookout Mobile Security, and it e-mailed the picture of the theif's face to me when he tried swiping to unlock my phone and failed 3 times (but the picture was terrible).
Lookout could no longer locate the GPS of where the phone was 2 hours after it got stolen (or up to that point) so i think he wiped it, and Lookout's "Plan B" was apparently incompatible with my phone.
I contacted the police and gave them the photo, which was very bad quality & angle, but it seemed to look a lot like a guy who has a bad reputation in town.

ANYWAYS. by suspending my plan (which i already have done) what can i do now? I can't afford to buy a new phone and apparently I still have to pay off my tab (which i understand, i can't really prove it was stolen), would i just be able to save up my money and get a new phone later and continue the same plan? The plan i have right now doesn't seem to be still offered though koodo and I would like to keep it if i can. Or are there other options for me?
at this point it looks like I'm going to be phone less for a while :(

I'd contact Koodo to report the phone stolen so that way it's basically like a paperweight. Now to get a new phone the current tab would have to be billed to your next invoice unfortinately so you can get another phone. I'd suggest the Moto G at $150. Very affordable phone which also has AA processor. Keep in mind even though your phone is suspended you will still be billed monthly. You're only other option would be to purchase an unlocked phone privately. But if you do, make sure it's not blacklisted as lost/stolen.

Well if i'm still being billed i might as well leave koodo then...

New one = new plan? You don't need to get a new plan. Just another phone + a SIM card (10$).

SIM cards are included for free with activations and redemptions.

You can continue on the same plan, but you have to pay off your current tab and start new tab.

Well you could plead your case to the loyalty department and see if they'll cut you a break on the Tab amount but otherwise, you're stuck with repaying that if you want to get a new phone. I'm sorry to hear about this.

You can keep your plan and use Tab S. You can also keep it on Tab M as long as it's above $30 plus there'll be a $5 Tab charge that falls off after The Tab is paid or 24 months rolls by, which ever comes first.

Try out the Moto G, S III, Nexus 4, and iPhone 4S 8GB.

i had it switched to my old slide-out-keyboard phone and that seems to work for me now. maybe when my tab is paid off (they let it go down to 50$ even from $80-something).
Thank you for all your help guys!
