My Nexus 4 won't send or receive texts nor make calls. It can only receive calls. Why?

Like the title says. If someone can help me with this situation, that'd be really great. It's been happening for 24 hours now. My phone has service, it has signal, but it can't do anything except receive calls, surprisingly.

My 3G also doesn't want to work. Usually, when it's turned on, there's the little 3G logo on top of my phone, but ever since this problem started, I get nothing.

Make sure your phones not set to 2g or gsm only in the network settings.
If your on prepaid there have been some issues today which could be your problem. While the phones on try holding down the power button until it turns off and continue to hold it down until it turns back on again and see if that helps. Also check for Android version 4.4.3 which is hitting Nexus devices right now and fixes some issues which may or may not help.

While checking my Network Setting, I noticed that the Network Type displayed "unknown." Maybe that's the source of the problem. Do you know what may have caused this and how to fix it?
