Can you cut a regular sim card into a nano sim card?

You can, but it's a risk, and if you do it wrong you've just wasted a sim card.

Meh. Not worth the risk to me.

I've done this a few times. Used this:

Cost me about $4. I bought it before travelling to Europe because many discount prepaid operators don't provide nano-SIMs and I didn't want to use the template (http://www.gosoftworks.com/GoSoftWork...) many times. You don't need to sand the card.

I have done it a few times with a sharp pair of scissors & a template I got off the Internet & it was very easy. If you do it just make sure there's no sharp cuts or anything that could get stuck on a SIM Tray connector. If you can make it to a kiosk and grab one your really better off but if you can't then try it just be careful & take your time that you don't cut into the metal of the SIM Card or cut it too small.
