I bought a prepaid SIM card yesterday, but when I tried to activate it online, it said that the SIM # was invalid. I live 3 hours away from the place where I bought the SIM card, and that was the closest place. There's no way I can go back anytime soon. I tried calling Koodo, but it said I should call back when they're open. I called at 10am on Wed. so I'm not sure what's going on. Is there any way I'll be able to use my existing SIM card? Who should I bug about sending me a free SIM card by express post, the shop that sold it to me, or Koodo itself?
Does the SIM card have "Prepaid" printed on it? It should work really... if not, you should definitely call Koodo and have them look at it... 1-866-99-KOODO (1-866-995-6636) or 647-788-4337. They should be open from 10am - 9pm :)
So, the SIM card I bought only cost $10. I just noticed that Prepaid SIM cards cost $20. I clearly told the woman at the shop that I wanted a prepaid card, but it would seem she sold me the wrong one... Could this be why it says invalid SIM? Would it say prepaid on the card if it was?
So, if in fact I was sold the wrong SIM card, any way I can still use it to get prepaid?
" Invalid sim " indicates that your phone is locked with your carrier . Whats your mobile manufacturer and model ? To unlock your phone from carrier lock, use unlock code to unlock it . You can get it from any of the online vendors like http://www.unlock-zone.com/supported-... to unlock it .
