my friend, who lives outside of my city, wants to add me to her 'my 10' list (free calls with those 10 people) She is with rogers. If she were to add me to her 'my 10' would it be free for to answer her calls?

It's free for her. That plan works for her.
What kind of plan do you have? When you answer a call, it will use your anytime minutes except evenings and weekends if it's included in your plan.

No. That only counts for HER 10 #s that she has registered. You would still be subject to whatever airtime/plan you currently have with Koodo.

You can add Five Essentials through Self Serve for $10 to get Unlimited calling to 5 numbers, switch to a pure Unlimited calling plan, or take advantage of your evenings/weekends package, if any.

You can not add five essentials anymore.

Hmmm, I still see it through my self serve.
