my tab charge is higher than my remaining tab

So I get my text saying my bill is ready. I go log in it says my bill is one amount, I check my bill details and it says a different amount. I check the tab balance... I only owe $3.15 on the tab and they are charging me the full $5 tab charge... seems like a rip off to be charged the full tab charge when tab charge is less... when I asked about this before hand every person I have asked has given me a different answer, so fustrating!

Hi Alissa,

Are you sure the 3.15$ isn't what is remaining after your current payment of 5$? Typically the last payment will be reduced to whatever the tab balance is.

Yes I am sure... I checked my tab balance before this bill and it says $3.15 and when I got my bill I looked and I was billed the $5 tab charge

That means you had 8.15$ owing on your tab, and your 5$ tab charge lowered it to 3.15$

If you want, you can post a screenshot of the tab portion of your bill without displaying any personal information and we can see what is what

ok I have 2 phones on my acct... both have the $5 tab charge and got a koodo contribution of $7.50 and have the exact same plan

I figured out the problem... they out of the blue just this bill changed the koodo contribution based on my plan... instead of the $7.50 along with my tab charge which would have paid off my tab... they decided they were only paying $4.35 contribution this month, making me pay the other $3.15 that they have always paid

when I log in the my self serve it shows I owe 71.16 but my billing amount shows 76.16... hence why I am still confused

No has had the same plan since we got her new phone 2 years ago... she has actually had the same plan since we first signed her up for a cellphone...

Hi Teresa!

I suggest that you verify the following:

Go to your Self Serve and download your 2 last bills (PDF).

On your before last bill (page 3) in the "Your Koodo Tab" section, you will see the "Closing Tab Balance". 

Then go to your last bill, same place, except go to "Opening Tab Balance". That amount should be the same as your "Closing Tab Balance" from last month. Then you'll see the "Koodo Contribution" and the "Your Contribution".

That should be able to tell you why your Tab Balance is now at -3.15.
