You probably picket change the volume. Does it change if you leave it laying on a table after a while or something ?

If you're continuing to experience problems with volume levels, download the app Volume Ace from the Google Play store. The app shows all of the phones' volume levels. A widget can be placed on your homescreen to instantly show all volume levels at a glance.

If you have a cell phone case where the volume up/down keys are molded into the case, inspect the areas where the case touches the volume buttons. The case could be pressing too hard on the volume down button or, the case may not be seated correctly over the volume down button. Remove the case and re-install. Set your volume levels and monitor for any changes.

Beyond that it could be a flaw with the OS and appears to be acknowledged as an uncommon bug from Samsung but a update was supposed to be been sent several months ago. Do you know about when it started and if there was some update you installed or some app?
