Try turning your phone off and then back on or removing the battery for a minute or so then replace it and try it again.
If it still doesn't work then make sure airplane mode isn't on.
Make sure it's not set to 2g or gsm only under your network settings.
If it still doesn't work try removing the battery and SIM Card this time then replace them and try it again to see if the SIM Card has come loose or misaligned.

my phone also says the same im on pay as you go iphone 6 i called already and they told me my phone was reported stolen so i called apple they assured me that it wasnt i have now been on hold for almost 2hours
