My phone just shattered. Have I had it long enough for an upgrade?

I don't have anything left on my tab and I've had the phone for approaching 2 years. Am I due for a free upgrade? I can't call from my phone to find out and their "Ask Koodo" section doesn't load.

You can get a $0 down phone with a tab. There are no free phones.

I'm on a plan right now, am I able to switch to https://www.koodomobile.com/phones/samsung-galaxy-a8 , this phone, zero down, and begin paying a tab again? I believe I'm on a medium plan already.

If you checked your selfserve and saw the deal when you logged in then you are eligible for it.

You could upgrade at wallmart/bestbuy/koodo kiosk... but they will charge you a $30 connection fee. If you do it online, you could avoid it (but then you might have to wait for up to 10days for online order as of now)

Thank you, going to check Wal-mart this afternoon for this phone and deal.

Walmart currently has a deal on the A5 if you're interested. $0 tab medium and a $300 walmart gift card. (So basically $60 for a new phone).

$300 is for new activation only. Existing customer would have to bank on Koodo credits.

Or just sneaky sneak your way to and sign up as a new customer. ;)

You can select a phone on koodomobile.com for whatever your budget is. If you want a very good phone with no upfront (but still not free as you pay the tab) then I'd suggest the Essential phone. A good midrange is the galaxy a5. Be sure to get it online to waive the 30 dollar fee.

And get a good case too.

Essential phone probably not the safest bet IMHO.

That is iffy with the potential loss of warranty when they get bought out. If you can get one without the known quality control issues then I think you're good for a long time.
