We would be in a better position to help if we knew what phone you have.

Some Androids have user-replaceable batteries (which can go bad after a while) while others have them built-in, requiring a service intervention (all iPhones, many Androids).
it's a samsung model number GTS5830D android version 2.3.4

Hey Marie-Paule,

If your phone is no longer covered by the manufacturer's warranty ( you can test a different charger to see if your battery lasts longer.

You can also get a replacement or a 2nd battery from trusted online websites/sellers if want to keep using this phone.

Let us know if you have more questions!

Thank you!

If you see a good answer, give it a star.

It may be more cost effective to just purchase a new phone, depending on the price of the battery
